Studio Policies

Commitment:

The school year session is a 30 week session running from September through the beginning of May. Once registered, you are responsible for all fees for the entire session.  Students are expected to perform in the end of the year spring recital.

Tuition:

Tuition rates are for the full season (September-May, including studio holidays), not by the number of classes in the month. Tuition fees are paid monthly, semi annually or annually and may be paid in the form of check, cash or automatic deduction from a bank account (if your bank allows this). There is a $30 charge for returned checks, followed by payment in cash.  If you are choosing to pay monthly, you must enroll in our ACH automatic deduction plan.  A monthly service fee of $1.50 will also apply.  If your tuition becomes over 5 days late you will be assessed a late fee. This late fee will be $10 per class a dancer is enrolled in.  **MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO DANCE AN HOUR OR MORE A WEEK**

Registration fee:

A $25 non-refundable registration fee per child (or $40 per family) is required for each session. This does not get deducted from your tuition fee.

Refunds/Discounts:

REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.  A credit will be kept on your account, until the next season's registration deadline.  There will be no pro-rating or refunding of tuition for missed or dropped classes.  The one month's required fee to hold a spot in a class is non-refundable. Refunds are issued ONLY when Inclusion Dance needs to cancel a class due to low enrollment. We have not increased our rates in three years. To keep costs low for families, we decided to decrease rates by a few dollars this year; however, to offset this we will not be offering any discounts this year.

Class Placement:

Students will be placed in classes based on their age and ability. Please contact the studio with any questions on where to place your child.  We reserve the right to move your child to a more appropriate class for her/his skill level, up until costumes are ordered.

Attendance and Missed Classes:

Attendance is crucial in the progress of the class and the dancer. If you must miss a class due to illness or family obligation you must contact the studio by phone or email as soon as possible. Missed classes cannot be made up. If a student misses more than three of the final eight classes before our Spring Recital, you may be dismissed from participating in the Showcase routine at the discretion of the teacher.

Tardiness:

Students that are late to class must knock on the door and wait to be let into class. Students that are substantially late (10 minutes or more) may not be allowed to participate in class, due to not being properly warmed up and at risk for injury.

Rescheduling and Substitutions:

Inclusion Dance reserves the right to reschedule/combine classes that have less than four students enrolled (if this cannot be done, the class may be canceled completely) We also reserve the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regular teacher is ill or is otherwise unable to teach.

Snow Days/Inclement Weather:

In the event of inclement weather, an email will be sent as well as updated to our Facebook and Instagram pages. You will not receive a phone call.  Please note we do not necessarily follow school closings, as roads are often cleared by the time classes begin. Use your best judgment when traveling to the studio during inclement weather. One snow day closure for any given day is built into our season.

Class Observation:

Parent observation week is held every six weeks.  Email and social media reminders will be sent and/or posted.  Parents/guardians and invited in to observe the final ten to fifteen minutes of each class.

Costumes:

Costumes will be purchased during the first semester. Payment is due in full at the time of ordering. If you do not pay in full by the due date a late fee of $25 per costume will apply.  You will also be responsible to cover the shipping cost, if costumes have already been ordered.  Prices range from $60-$80 (includes shipping and one pair of tights). Costumes cannot be returned or exchanged (with the exception of defective/damaged costumes). It is your responsibility to get any costume altered that does not fit properly. Inclusion Dance is not responsible for costumes that do not fit.  Costume fees are non-refundable.

Spring Recital:

All students have the opportunity to perform in the annual spring recital held at The Communication Arts Center on the UW Oshkosh - Fox Cities campus. Dates and ticket information will be distributed as soon as it is available. There is no videotaping or flash photography at the show, however; you may videotape the dress rehearsal. Professional DVD’s will be available to purchase at the show.  A full recital packet is emailed out one month prior to the recital.

Class Music:

All students will receive an email of an mp3 of their  Spring Recital routine music so they may practice at home.  You may also bring a jump/flash drive to the studio to have your child's music saved on it.

Pictures:

Professional pictures will be taken during second semester and will be available to purchase.

Personal Conduct:

No food, gum, or drink (other than water) is allowed in the studio at any time. No street shoes are allowed on the dance floors. Students and parents are expected to pick up after themselves. No smoking is allowed in front of our entrance. All students and parents are expected to act in a respectful manner in and outside of the studio.

Suspension/Expulsion:

Inclusion Dance reserves the right to ask a student/family to leave the Studio for failure to follow the Studio policies, or for any reason they see fit.

Concerns and Correspondence:

Please direct any concerns you may have to Ms. Carla.  We are always here to make your experience at Inclusion Dance the very best we can.
