Studio Policies


The school year session is a 30 week session running from September through the beginning of May. Once registered, you are responsible for all fees for the entire session.  Students are expected to perform in the end of the year spring recital.



Tuition must be paid in a timely fashion as listed on the tuition schedule; invoices are not mailed.  Tuition may be paid in the form of cash, check, or automatic deduction from a bank account (if your bank allows this). There is a $30 charge for returned checks, followed by payment in cash.  If you are choosing to pay monthly, you must enroll in our ACH automatic deduction plan.  A monthly service fee of $1.50 will also apply.  If your tuition becomes over 5 days late you will be assessed a late fee. This late fee will be $10 per class a dancer is enrolled in.


Registration fee:

A $20 non-refundable registration fee per child (or $30 per family) is required for each session. This does not get deducted from your tuition fee.



We offer a discount to families with more than one child participating in classes, or for one child participating in multiple classes. This does not apply to summer session, workshops, private lessons, half year non recital classes, or Competition Teams.  Discounts are not combined - one or the other must be chosen.

  • First Child – Full Price (Second Child or more) – 5% discount on one class of equal or lesser value

  • First Class – Full Price – 5% discount on class(es) of equal or lesser value

  • Full Year Discount - A 10% discount is offered for the full year payment by August 20, 2019. Full year discounted payments will not be accepted beyond this time.  Full year discounted payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.  This 10% discount is only offered for students/families that dance MORE THAN 1 hour per week and cannot be combined with the multi-class/sibling discount. 



Refunds are not available.  A credit will be kept on your account, until the next season's registration deadline.  There will be no pro-rating or refunding of tuition for missed or dropped classes.  The one month's required fee to hold a spot in a class is non-refundable.


Class Placement:

Students will be placed in classes based on their age and ability. Please contact the studio with any questions on where to place your child.  We reserve the right to move your child to a more appropriate class for her/his skill level, up until costumes are ordered. 


Attendance and Missed Classes:

Attendance is crucial in the progress of the class and the dancer. If you must miss a class due to illness or family obligation you must contact the studio by phone or email as soon as possible. Missed classes cannot be made up. If a student misses more than 50% of their class, they may not be allowed to participate in the Spring Recital.



Student Drop Off and Pick Up:

Doors to the building will remain locked, until 15 minutes prior to the first class of the day.  Students should be dropped off no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their first class.  Students should be picked up within 10 minutes of their class ending.  Students dropped off or picked up earlier/later than these times will have a fee attached to their account at the rate of $5 each five minutes they are dropped of early or picked up late.  Students age 10 and under should have a parent/adult physically bring them into the building or be waiting in the reception area to pick them up before and after classes. Students age 6 and under must have a parent remain in the reception area with them, until their class begins.



Students that are late to class must knock on the door and wait to be let into class. Students that are substantially late (10 minutes or more) may not be allowed to participate in class, due to not being properly warmed up and at risk for injury.


Classes will be cancelled, or combined, if less than four students are registered for that particular class.


Snow Days:

All classes will be cancelled if the Appleton Area School District is closed due to inclement weather.  If weather becomes severe during the daytime hours, and after school activities are cancelled, dance will be cancelled.  Cancellations are announced via Email, on our Facebook page and also as a news alert on our App.  You will not receive individual phone calls and/or text messages.


Class Observation:

Parent observation will be every six weeks, for the last 10-15 minutes of class. If you would like to video tape your child’s routine, please ask the instructor for permission.  Parents may not enter the dance studio while classes are running.



Costumes will be purchased during the first semester. Payment is due in full at the time of ordering. If you do not pay in full by the due date a late fee of $5 per costume will apply.  You will also be responsible to cover the shipping cost, if costumes have already been ordered.  Prices range from $60-$85. Costumes cannot be returned or exchanged (with the exception of defective/damaged costumes). It is your responsibility to get any costume altered that does not fit properly. Inclusion Dance is not responsible for costumes that do not fit.  Costume fees are non-refundable.


Spring Recital:

All students have the opportunity to perform in the annual spring recital held at The Baehman Theatre on the UW Fox Valley campus. Dates and ticket information will be distributed as soon as it is available. There is no videotaping or flash photography at the show, however; you may videotape the dress rehearsal. Professional DVD’s will be available to purchase at the show.  A full recital packet is emailed out one month prior to the recital.


Class Music:

All students will receive an email of an mp3 of their  Spring Recital routine music so they may practice at home.  You may also bring a jump/flash drive to the studio to have your child's music saved on it.



Professional pictures will be taken during second semester and will be available to purchase.


Personal Conduct:

No food, gum, or drink (other than water) is allowed in the studio at any time. No street shoes are allowed on the dance floors. Students and parents are expected to pick up after themselves. No smoking on the premises, this includes the parking lot. All students and parents are expected to act in a respectful manner in and outside of the studio.



Inclusion Dance reserves the right to ask a student/family to leave the Studio for failure to follow the Studio policies, or for any reason they see fit.

Email is used to send all information throughout the year and is the primary means of communication.  Please be sure you have your correct email address listed on your registration form and check your email regularly.  If your email changes, please be sure to let us know.
